Improve Athletic Performance in All Sports with Club Swimming

Updated: Jul 8, 2021

Club swimming is a great way to keep active throughout the year and help improve your endurance and swim stroke. What’s especially nice is kids can join club swimming even while they play other sports and it helps them strengthen endurance and agility for all the sports they play.

Club Swim Team

Once a child is able to swim, there are a few clues that indicate they are ready to start a swimming club like the program at Echo Aquatics:

  1. Swim freestyle. It doesn’t have to be an olympic-quality stroke but the basics have to be there. Simply being able to swim with arms and legs moving in sync is the first step to building stronger swimming skills.

  2. Swim the full length of the pool and back. Swimming consists of a solid stroke and lots of redundant drills to make improvements. If your child doesn’t have the stamina to swim the length of the pool and back, it’s difficult to make progress with drills.

  3. Has the right gear. Your child should have a proper competitive swim suit, goggles, a cap (if they have long hair), and if possible: paddles, a buoy, and kick board.

Club swim is a valuable and rewarding experience that allows athletes to practice year round, improve physical fitness, and overall performance in all sports. Echo Aquatics is excited to launch our club swim program on July 1st, 2021. We offer sessions in the morning and evening for children, teenagers, and adults. All are welcome to participate!
